PROGRAM
DAY 1: arrival in VENICE
- Arrival at the airport of Venice. Meeting with tour leader.
- Hotel accommodation.
- Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: VENICE
- Guided tour in the heart of the city of Venice: Piazza San Marco, Basilica of San Marco, Doge’s Palace, Bridge of Sighs and Dungeons.
- In the afternoon free shopping, with tour leader.
- Guided tour of the Teatro La Fenice and private cocktail party in the eighteenth century atmosphere of the marvelous Apollonian Halls. Extras on request: in the evening, viewing of an opera performance or other scheduled show. Lunch and dinner in a restaurant.
- Hotel overnight stay.
DAY 3: THE ISLANDS AND THE CASINO OF VENICE
- Departure by boat to visit some small islands of the Venetian lagoon:
– Murano, famous for its glass, with a visit to the Museum of Glassmaking.
– Burano, famous for its lace, with a visit to the School of laces.
– Lunch break in a restaurant and departure for the island of Torcello in the afternoon.
- Return to the hotel to change clothes.
- In the evening trip to the Casino di Venezia:
- Dinner at the restaurant of the Casino.
- Access to the gaming halls.
- Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 4: VENETO PEARLS
- In the morning, visit to the imposing Villa Pisani at Stra. The villa hosts a National Museum which houses works of art and furniture of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and was the site of important meetings between monarchs and heads of state, as well as the luxurious summer
- Afternoon transfer by bus to Bassano del Grappa with a stop in Schiavon for a visit to the POLI Distillery: this company has produced grappa since 1898 and is known in the area because it exports distillates of grapes and fruit worldwide.
- In Bassano del Grappa, suggestive aperitif on the ‘Ponte degli Alpini’, one of the most beautiful of Italy, dating back to 1200 and built based on the original design by Andrea Palladio.
- Lunch and dinner in a restaurant with typical products.
- Hotel overnight stay.
DAY 5: VERONA and LAKE GARDA
- In the morning, visit to the historic center of Verona, with the Arena and the home of Romeo and Juliet.
- In the afternoon, tour on the hills near Verona and Lake Garda, where the famous wines”Valpolicella” and “Amarone” are produced. A fascinating route between Venetian villas, vineyards, oak barrels, and wine tasting in the cellar.
- Lunch and dinner in a restaurant.
- Hotel overnight stay.
DAY 6 – 7 – 8: EXPO IN MILAN
- Morning arrival in Milan to spend three days at the EXPO where guests will be free to move through the halls, although with the constant presence of tour leader. The EXPO gives the opportunity to know and taste the culinary characteristics of the participating countries and partners of this global event. Among the most important partners of EXPO: Beijing Huiyuan Food & Beverage, Coca Cola, Ferrero, Enel, Eni, Fiat Chrysler, Samsung, Alitalia, Telecom Italia, MSC Cruises, Fiera Milano.
- EXPO entrance ticket and overnight stay at the hotel included.
- Lunches and dinners not included.
DAY 9: RETURN
- Transfer to the airport of Milan Malpensa and return.
